Pi Beta Phi
My friend is celebrating her 50th birthday tomorrow so I decided to stitch her a special card. She does a lot of charity work with her university sorority, Pi Beta Phi. Her focus is specifically with books. I found the Literacy logo for Pi Beta Phi and designed a stitched pattern for her birthday card. I hope she likes it!

Tulip Thanks
My dear friend Karen Day is a designer for a new Card Challenge site called "Inspired by all the Little Things". I was thrilled when she asked me to be a guest designer. This is definitely something new for me. The picture below was my source of inspiration...
I almost exclusively make hand stitched cards. I first find a design I like, I poke the holes, I choose the paper, and then I hand stitch the design. The tulip design I chose did not have any pussy willows so I added those free hand with a straight stitch and french knots. I used pop dots to add dimension to the pail. I also added texture with a Cuttlebug embossing sleeve.
This is a close up of the stitching.
